Crop Health (Thermal Stress)
Thermal crop stress mapping to highlight uneven irrigation, wet patches, and plant stress, so you can fix problems before they spread.
Who it is for
- Growers noticing uneven growth or yield
- Irrigation managers checking coverage
- Orchard and crop consultants
- Farmers wanting an early stress snapshot
Flight overview
- Discuss crop type, timing, and what stress looks like for you
- Thermal survey flown with Matrice 4T (640×512 native; Super Resolution up to 1280×1024)
- Matching RGB imagery for visual context
- Comparison of warmer/cooler zones against known irrigation or soil patterns
Deliverables
- Thermal overview maps of the surveyed blocks
- RGB context imagery
- Notes on stressed or anomalous zones
- Practical talking points for your agronomist
Turnaround
Typically 3–7 business days after a suitable flight window.
Coverage
Waikato and North Island by arrangement.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as NDVI or multispectral?
No. We use thermal plus RGB from the Matrice 4T to highlight warmer/cooler and visually stressed zones. It's a practical, fast way to find problem areas. If you need lab-grade spectral indices, we can point you to a specialist multispectral provider.
When should we fly for crop stress?
Timing depends on crop and irrigation cycle. Midday heat can exaggerate stress signals; early stress after irrigation is often useful. We plan with you rather than pick a random free day.
What do I receive?
Thermal overview maps, RGB context, notes on anomalous zones, and talking points for your agronomist. It is a practical field snapshot — not a laboratory diagnosis.
How fast is the turnaround?
Typically 3–7 business days after a suitable flight window. Weather and crop stage can shift the schedule.
