Industrial

Infrastructure Inspection

Safer inspection of bridges, towers, roofs, and hard-to-reach structures using high-zoom RGB and thermal payloads.

Powerline towers for infrastructure inspection

Who it is for

  • Asset owners needing visual condition records
  • Engineers scoping maintenance without expensive scaffolding
  • Councils and utilities reviewing accessible structures
  • Contractors documenting as-found condition

Flight overview

  • Hazard and airspace briefing specific to the structure
  • Flight under CAA Part 101 with clear observer roles where needed
  • High-zoom RGB and thermal passes as scoped
  • Repeatable flight paths for future comparison where useful

Deliverables

  • Organised photo set of inspected elements
  • Thermal imagery where included in scope
  • Defect / anomaly callouts in plain language
  • Archive pack for your maintenance records

Turnaround

Usually 5–10 business days depending on structure complexity and access. Urgent jobs discussed case by case.

Coverage

Waikato base, North Island and beyond by arrangement.

Frequently asked questions

What weather stops an infrastructure flight?

Wind is the usual limiter around towers and bridges. Rain and low cloud also stop useful close work. We will not fly a marginal day just to keep a calendar slot.

Access, traffic management, and consent?

You arrange site access and any traffic or public controls your asset requires. We need a clear brief on hazards, exclusion zones, and who is on site. Neighbour or council consent is your call where the structure sits on public land.

What is in the pack?

An organised photo set of inspected elements, thermal imagery when scoped, plain-language defect/anomaly callouts, and an archive pack for maintenance records. It supports engineering judgement — it is not a certified structural report by itself.

Turnaround and urgent jobs?

Usually 5–10 business days depending on complexity. True urgents are discussed case by case — we will be honest if we cannot meet your deadline under Part 101 and weather.

When does Part 101 not cover the job?

Operations over people, beyond visual line of sight, night work without the right setup, or certain controlled-airspace jobs may fall outside what we can do under Part 101 alone. We flag that early and will not take the booking if we cannot fly it safely and legally.
