Terms of use and service

Website and service terms for Tubb Ventures Limited (SkyVector Drone Solutions). Last updated 21 October 2026.

About these terms

These terms apply to the website skyvector.co.nz and to services provided by Tubb Ventures Limited, trading as SkyVector Drone Solutions (NZBN 9429053358295) (“SkyVector”, “we”, “us”). Any written quote or booking confirmation forms part of these terms, and if the quote says something different, the quote applies.

Our services and operating rules

We provide drone thermal, solar, mapping and inspection services. All flights are operated under Civil Aviation Rules Part 101. We do not hold a Part 102 operator certificate and do not carry out operations that would need one. We will decline or adjust work that cannot be flown safely and legally under Part 101, including where consent from people or property owners cannot be obtained, or airspace approval is unavailable.

Quotes, bookings and your responsibilities

A binding agreement starts when you accept a written quote or booking confirmation. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated. Prices on the website are indicative starting prices in NZD and exclude GST unless stated.

  • You confirm you own or control the site, or have the owner’s or occupier’s permission for us to fly over and photograph it.
  • You will tell us about known hazards, animals, livestock, power lines and access conditions, and let people on site or nearby neighbours know where relevant.
  • You will give us safe access at the agreed time.

Weather, safety and rescheduling

Drone work depends on weather, light, temperature (especially for thermal work), wind, airspace and site conditions. The pilot decides whether it is safe and suitable to fly, and we may postpone or stop a flight at any time for safety or data quality. If we postpone for weather or safety we will reschedule at no extra cost. That is not a breach of these terms, and we are not liable for delays caused by it.

Cancellation by you

You can cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before the booked time. For cancellations within 24 hours, or if we arrive and cannot fly because access was not provided or the site was not as described, we may charge a call-out fee as set out in your quote to cover travel and time.

Payment

Unless your quote says otherwise, invoices are due within 7 days of the invoice date. We may ask for a deposit for larger jobs. We may hold final deliverables until the invoice is paid. If payment is overdue, we may charge reasonable debt collection costs.

Deliverables, ownership and licence

Deliverables are as scoped in the quote. Once you have paid in full, you may use the delivered images, reports and maps for any lawful purpose, including sharing them with your builder, insurer, buyer or adviser. We keep copyright in the images and data we create. We will not publish your images (for example on our website or social media) without your written permission, and we will remove identifying details such as addresses before any agreed use.

What our reports are, and are not

Thermal and mapping results show what was visible to our sensors on the day, under the conditions at the time. They support professional judgement but are not a building inspection, electrical certification, survey, engineering assessment or agronomy advice. Thermal imaging can show temperature patterns that suggest moisture, heat loss or faults, but it cannot confirm them. Please have findings checked by a suitably qualified professional before relying on them for major decisions.

Consumer law

If you are a consumer, you have rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, including that our services are carried out with reasonable care and skill, are fit for purpose and are finished within a reasonable time. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.

If you acquire our services for the purposes of a business, you agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply, and that sections 9, 12A and 13 of the Fair Trading Act 1986 do not apply, to the extent the law allows, and that it is fair and reasonable for both parties to be bound by this.

Limitation of liability

We carry public liability insurance. To the extent permitted by law, and except for rights you cannot contract out of:

  • for business clients, our total liability for any claim relating to a job is limited to the fees paid for that job, except for physical damage to property or injury caused by our negligence, which is limited to the amount recoverable under our public liability insurance;
  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit, revenue or opportunity;
  • we are not liable for loss caused by information you gave us that was incorrect, or by decisions made from our results without the professional checks described above.

For consumers, we are only liable for loss that was reasonably foreseeable and caused by our failure to meet these terms or the Consumer Guarantees Act.

Privacy

We handle personal information and drone imagery in line with our Privacy Policy at skyvector.co.nz/privacy.

Website content is general information only and may change without notice. Content on this site is our copyright and may not be copied for commercial use without permission.

These terms are governed by New Zealand law and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
